We are really excited to announce that our Regional Ambassador Program at Informed K12 fully kicked off last year! Read on to learn about the program and meet our Ambassadors.
What is the Informed K12 Regional Ambassador Program?
As a Remote and Relationship First company, we feel that it is important to prioritize building relationships with our coworkers. While we have a number of ways we do this at the company virtually, we want to make sure that we are still meeting each other in person.
A way that we are able to consistently see each other, even as we live all over the country, is to organize Regional Meet Ups. We have six main areas where employees are “clustered” around: New York (Northeast Region), Chicago (Midwest), Austin (Texas and South), Salt Lake City (Mountain West), LA (Southwest), and Oakland (Pacific Northwest).
Each one of these Regions has 1-2 Regional Ambassadors. The Ambassadors are responsible for coordinating regular meet-ups, team co-working sessions, dinners, lunches, or any other fun activity with the people in their Region on a regular basis.

Mountain West - Tim and Miranda
What do you do at Informed K12?
Tim- I am a Senior Account Executive. I work with new districts and districts looking to expand.
Miranda- I am an Implementations Manager. I guide and train our districts in bringing their first forms to life on our platform.
What did you do for your regional meet up in December?
Tim- We met in Salt Lake City to share a meal and celebrate the holidays.
Miranda- We gathered at a local German brewery and enjoyed a fun meal together.
Why are you excited to be a Regional Ambassador?
Tim- I like to help build community. It can be lonely working from home but IK12 does a great job of not making employees feel like we are on islands.
Miranda- I love working from home, but it means I cherish every opportunity to spend time with my colleagues face to face. It’s wonderful to feel the energy of those with whom I share so many goals and experiences.
What are you excited for in 2023?
Tim- I am excited with the new product features and expanding my territory.
Miranda- I’m looking forward to finding an opportunity to serve our local community together.
Southwest - Pepa
What do you do at Informed K12?
Product Management. My job is to make sure our customers’ needs are understood and met with the products and enhancements we deliver.
What did you do for your regional meet up in December?
We got together at a coworking space for a collaborative work day, signed Christmas cards for our customers and wrapped the day up with a team dinner.
Why are you excited to be a Regional Ambassador?
Onboarding virtually as a new employee can make it challenging to form connections or feel truly a part of the team. I was grateful to have the opportunity to facilitate this meet up for our Region, to welcome new employees (including myself!) and to get to know people on a more personal level..
What are you excited for in 2023?
More fun get togethers, new team members and opportunities to collaborate in person.
Midwest - Danny & Cherise
What do you do at Informed K12?
Danny- I am a Customer Success Manager, and I work with our district stakeholders on achieving their strategic goals and objectives through our product and partnership.
Cherise- I’m the Content Marketing Manager. I manage our marketing outreach, collateral generation, social media accounts, and in-person marketing events.
What did you do for your regional meet up in December?
Danny- It was a fun, engaging day consisting of collaborative working time, as well as social activities like Whirlyball and bowling.
Cherise- Worked with Danny to plan the best day ever! I mostly focused on arranging a co-working space for the team and making dinner plans. We met at the historic Harold Washington Library in Chicago and enjoyed dinner at Lou Malnati’s, a Chicago staple.
Why are you excited to be a Regional Ambassador?
Danny-While I enjoy working remotely, I also think occasional opportunities for in-person meetups with local colleagues help our team feel more connected and supported.
Cherise- The connections we make with our colleagues is what helps me show up everyday for work. I love the work that I do and I love the people I work with even more.
What are you excited for in 2023?
Danny-Getting to know my teammates more and learning from the amazing people I get to work with each day
Cherise- More in person connections. More laughs.
Texas - Peter
What do you do at Informed K12?
Sales Executive
What did you do for your regional meet up in December?
Had dinner at District Kitchen and did a white elephant
Why are you excited to be a Regional Ambassador?
I am excited because I plan every aspect of my life and love to plan. I am also excited to keep it fresh and have great team bonding opportunities.
What are you excited for in 2023?
I am thinking we rent a We Work and get together in person to ask work related questions durning working hours and do a team bonding event afterwards. I am excited because we have a bigger team now.
Northeast- Seirra & Alvin
What do you do at Informed K12?
Seirra - Customer Success Manager
Alvin - Customer Success Analyst - oversee the technical design of our solutions and help districts implement critical processes
What did you do for your regional meet up in December?
Seirra - Helped identify places for drinks/dinner and helped talk through things as needed. Alvin did all the heavy lifting!
Alvin - Coworking space during the day, went to Margaritville for Happy Hour, then finished off with some friendly competition at the bowling lanes. Seirra gave fantastic recommendations!
Why are you excited to be a Regional Ambassador?
Seirra - Making connections is so important. Since we don’t work in the office this can be challenging. I’m excited to help bridge that gap.
Alvin - I love the idea of creating meaningful connections.
What are you excited for in 2023?
Seirra - The possibilities. I have hopes to be able to plan a meetup in Philly. If I get my way, that’ll be what I’m most excited about.
Alvin - More meet-ups and team-building activities whether that’s by visiting clients on-site or wine and dining!
Pacific Northwest- Jose
What do you do at Informed K12?
Senior Account Executive
What did you do for your regional meet up in December?
Arranged a night out with the team starting out with a couple of Escape Rooms and finishing off at Line 51 Brewing Company for drinks and food.
Why are you excited to be a Regional Ambassador?
I love being a part of this company. Being a Regional Ambassador helps me be a part of the company in a different way beside being part of the Revenue team. Making connections and lasting relationships with my colleagues is so important to me.
What are you excited for in 2023?
To keep planning more meet ups with the team and to meet and welcome new team members in my region as more employees join our company.
